Zenter privacy policy

Last updated:

Zenter is a resident app provided by Fivestone Technologies, LLC. It lets residents of participating communities unlock doors and gates, share access with household members and guests, control smart home devices in their home, and send requests to their property staff.

This policy explains what the app collects and why.

What we collect

Your resident account. Your property management company sets up your account. It includes your name, email address, phone number, the home and community you live in, and your lease and move-in dates.

What you enter in the app. Names you give to door codes, details of household members and guests you give access to, and the requests and notes you send to your property staff.

Access codes. The door and gate codes at your home, when they start and expire, and who created them. Codes are encrypted where we store them.

A record of access changes. We keep a log of who created or removed access codes and household members, and when. This is so your property can tell who has access to your home.

Smart home device information. If your home has connected devices, the app shows and controls their current state, such as whether a light is on, whether a door is locked, and what your thermostat reads.

Sign-in. Sign-in is handled by Microsoft. We never see or store your password.

Phone permissions

You can turn either off in your phone's settings. Touch-to-open will stop working; the rest of the app will not.

What we do not do

We do not collect payment card details, Social Security numbers or dates of birth. The app contains no advertising or tracking software. We do not sell your information.

Who we share it with

Your property management company, who set up your account and can see your resident record, household and access codes. Vendors assigned to your requests, who get what they need to do the work. And the companies that run the service for us: Microsoft for hosting and sign-in, ProdataKey for door credentials, and Hubitat for the hub at your property.

We will also share information where the law requires it, or to protect the safety of residents and property.

Keeping your information

We keep your information for as long as you are a resident, and afterwards where we need to keep a record of access to a home.
